Admission

Admission Process :

          The Admission process of this Institute started, for the session 2013 – 2014  from 24th June 2013. The notification for admission for said session has been published by Directorate of Technical Education .

                The Application Forms can be had from this Institute from  24-06-2013 to 06-07-2013 against a cash   payment of Rs. 40/- each.

                The last date for submission of application forms is: 09-07-2013.

                The academic session shall begin from 1st August 2013.

 1. Trades :    ITI Pattan will make admission in following trades  for the session 2013-14 :

                           i.   Computer Operator and Programming Assistant ( COPA ).

                          ii.  Stenography(English)

                          iii. Cutting & Sewing (For females only)

                          iv.  Plumber (Introduced under PPP Scheme from 2013)

 

2. Eligibility for Admission :

             i.   For Free SeatThe admissions for free seats will be made purely on merit obtained by the applicants in their qualifying examination, based on the minimum qualifications prescribed for the respective Trade. 

                 ii.   For Payment SeatsThe admission for Payment seats shall also be made on the same procedure as laid down for free seats mentioned above.

3. Admission Criteria :

i.      Those who are permanent residents of the J&K State ( except for the wards of Defence Personnel for whom special sanction from the Govt. is required. )

ii.      The lower age limit on 1st of August of the corresponding year should be 14 years and there is no upper age limit to apply for admission in any of the trades.

iii.    Those who possess the minimum academic qualification prescribed for each trade.

iv.    Those who undertake to abide by the rules/regulations of the ITIs.

v.      Reservation :

                        30% seats for women candidates in each trade,                       

4. Extract of Important Rules :

i.       The minimum compulsory attendance for trainees with regard to their eligibility for appearing in the All India Trade Test/State Test is 80% for the actual number of working days.

ii.     Casual Leave : Casual leave 12 days per year subject to a maximum of 10 days at a time.

iii..   Medical Leave : Medical leave of 15 days shall be allowed owing to illness. A further period not exceeding 3 weeks for one-year trade course and 6 weeks for 2-year trade courses shall be granted in continuation or in addition to 15 days absence on medical grounds on production of Medical Certificate.

iv.   Trainees who are not to fit to attend the training after the leave period shall be discharged from the institute.

v.     A trainee who absents himself from the training for 10 consecutive days without permission and without informing the Head of the Institute about the reasons of his absence will be treated as an absconder.

vi.   Candidates selected for admission in an ITI shall have to deposit following documents in original with the admission fee within 7 days of the selection failing which the seat will be passed on to the next eligible candidate :

  1. Discharge Certificate from Last Institute attended.

  2. Basic academic qualification certificate & marks card.

  3. Permanent Resident Certificate.

  4. Date of Birth certificate.

  5. Physical handicap certificate.

  6. Category certificate.

  7. Affidavit to the effect that the Candidate is not on roll in any Institution on regular basis and is not working in any Government or Semi Government Department / Agency and will abide by the rules and regulation of the Institute.If at any stage it is found that the candidate is violating any of the above ,he will have to pay the training cost incurred to the Department,

vii.   The trainees shall stitch the uniform within 15 days from the date of admission in ITI. Failing to do so shall result in cancellation of his/her admission.

Uniform Boys  :       Pant : Grey, Shirt : White, Sweater : Black.

Uniform Girls  :       White Shalwar & Kameez, Sweater : Black.

viii.   A trainee found indulging in acts of indiscipline and misconduct shall be discharged from the institute. Pending investigation of allegations against the trainee suspected of acts of indiscipline and misconduct, the trainee shall be placed under suspension.
